About Us:

We are working with a culturally diverse and fully inclusive primary school in Barking & Dagenham. The school aims to provide a happy, healthy, safe and compassionate environment.  The school is now looking for a Year 5 Teaching Assistant who can take initiative and take direction from the class teacher. In this role, you will be required to support a class of Year 5 pupils. SEN support will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher where required.


• Support children across a Year 5 class


• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.


• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.


• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.


• Support SEN pupils as required


• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent


• Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary School


• Knowledge: Understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum


• Desirable: Strong academic background
